Professional NHL player and Captain of the Tampa Bay Lightning, Steven Stamkos, proposed to Sandra, his high school sweetheart, only a few days after he and his teammates won the World Cup of Hockey in his hometown of Toronto. With all the traveling they do, being married in their hometown felt like the best way to feel close to home on their special day. Surrounded by their closest family and friends, the blush and white wedding included traditional elements for both Italian and Macedonian backgrounds of the couple. In terms of design, their day featured a variety of rose colours that extended throughout all details of the wedding.
